Walgreens increases use of solar energy systems

In fiscal 2015, Walgreens installed an additional 87 solar energy systems at retail locations across the USA and now has more than 240 solar energy systems across its stores and other facilities.

In acknowledgement, the U.S. solar energy industry, through its national trade association, Solar Energy Industries Association, published a report entitled ‘Solar Means Business: Top U.S. Commercial Solar Users 2015’ which lists Walgreens as a “growth leader in solar power.”
