Since 2013, Walgreens has been proud to partner with Vitamin Angels, an international nonprofit organization working to address child and maternal health in marginalized communities in the U.S. and around the world.

Over the last seven years, the charitable partnership has impacted more than 250 million women and children in more than 70 countries with life-changing vitamins and minerals. Because of this, millions of women and children are now living healthier lives.

Today, Walgreens Boots Alliance has committed to another three years of reaching underserved women and children with essential vitamins and minerals, for a combined potential of 400 million lives changed. WBA will also expand its collaboration with Vitamin Angels beyond Walgreens to other parts of its business, starting with Alliance Healthcare UK.

“During this time of pandemic crisis, it is more important than ever to reinforce key partnerships and alliances, especially those that can help improve access to healthcare for people and communities,” says Ornella Barra, co-chief operating officer for WBA. “Our partnership with Vitamin Angels is a powerful example. As a global healthcare company, with pharmacies that are deeply rooted in communities around the world and with the partnership of organizations like Vitamin Angels, we deliver on our mission to provide essential care, support and assistance where it is needed most.”
