As part of its COVID-19 vaccination program, Boots UK has joined the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower scheme which helps those with disabilities that are not immediately obvious such as autism, chronic pain, dementia and visual or hearing impairments.

People with hidden disabilities could experience significant challenges during the vaccination process, ranging from anxiety to not being able to stand for long periods of time or having limited access to toilet facilities. The scheme provides sunflower lanyards, so their invisible disability becomes visible.

This means that anyone with a hidden disability wearing a sunflower lanyard can be confident they will be supported when visiting one of the Boots hubs for their vaccination.
