Customers visiting boots.com now have access to the Boots Health Hub, Boots latest ecommerce platform offering nearly 100 different healthcare services including: healthcare tests, COVID-19 services, vaccinations, prescriptions, Livi’s Online GP consultations and now the Boots Online Doctor service.

Central to the customers’ health and wellness experience, Boots Health Hub is powered by Walgreens Find Care©. As a platform, it empowers customers to find care when and where they need it for a variety of non-urgent healthcare conditions, whether from Boots or from one of its carefully selected partners.

“Our Health Hub is relevant now more than ever as people look for ways to access healthcare from the comfort of their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Bernadette Lavery, pharmacy director for Boots UK & ROI. “The Hub helps our customers discover the many ways we can care for them, and will also help us expand our range of solutions to affordably meet their health needs.”

The latest push to provide easily accessible healthcare services online comes with the launch of Boots Online Doctor, a virtual service for more than 45 common healthcare conditions available via the Health Hub.

From skin conditions to sexual health and family planning, weight loss support to menopause treatments, the Boots Online Doctor services can provide quick access to advice and prescription-only medicine without having to see a GP.

Consultations with Boots Online Doctor can take as little as five minutes to complete.* From there, prescriptions, treatment and advice can be recommended, with medicines available to be delivered, or to pick up from a customer’s chosen Boots store. The "pay-as-you-go" system for non-urgent healthcare conditions is both quick and convenient for patients and aims to take strain off doctors and the National Healthcare Services during the pandemic.

“People are increasingly looking online to access healthcare at a time and place that suits them – a trend that has accelerated during the pandemic," says Marc Donovan, chief pharmacist at Boots UK. “We see a future where patients interact with us digitally and in person in a unique blend that suits their personal preferences. Our ambition at Boots is to become everyone’s first port of call for their health – however and whenever they need us.”

*Consultations consist of an online questionnaire filled out by the patient that is reviewed by a clinician to assess suitability for prescription-only medicine. Charges for Online Doctor services apply.
