Our Response to COVID-19

As a global, pharmacy-led healthcare company, we’re committed to helping ensure the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues and customers around the world.

During this pandemic, Walgreens Boots Alliance is committed to keeping our communities safe by providing trusted advice and health expertise from our pharmacists; ensuring access to testing, especially in underserved communities; and by maintaining a steady supply of medicines, medical supplies and personal protective equipment.

Our team members have been providing essential services on the frontline of the battle of COVID-19, and through it all, the safety and well-being of our customers and team members have been a top priority and will continue to be.

As the first COVID-19 vaccines became available, our dedicated Walgreens pharmacists and staff played a key role in the administration of COVID-19 vaccines to long-term care facilities and to healthcare workers, working closely with national, state and local governments. Walgreens continued to expand access to the U.S. general population through our 9,000+ stores, as vaccines became more widely available in 2021. And in the UK, Boots has worked closely with local commissioning groups and the National Health Service (NHS) to launch major vaccination hubs at Boots stores.

We will continue to work in close partnership with corporate, governmental and health care partners in all the areas where we do business to support vaccine efforts, and be a trusted source of accurate, up-to-date information about COVID-19.
